Pam Ronald named among the 100 most influential people in biotechnology by Scientific American

Genome Center Faculty member, Professor Pam Ronald features in a new WorldView 100 list published by Scientific American. The list — which also features Roger Beachy, the founding director of the new UC Davis World Food Center — includes such luminaries as Bill and Melinda Gates, as well as Craig Venter. From the introduction to the list:

Here, we name 100 of the industry’s leading lights in a list we’ve dubbed “The Worldview 100.” The honorees include researchers who provided fundamental insights into biological processes, as well as their colleagues who developed those insights to create the biology-based goods and services that are the essence of biotechnology.
