Events

Throughout the year, the Genome Center hosts events, with the two most prominent being the David L. Weaver Endowed Lecture and the Annual Halloween Symposium. The David L. Weaver Endowed Lecture commemorates prominent biophysics researchers with yearly lectures featuring invited speakers. Recent speakers for the David L. Weaver Endowed Lecture have included Carol Greider, Jody Puglisi, and Angela M. Gronenborn. The Annual Halloween Symposium is a fun event with costumes, a pumpkin carving contest, invited speakers, and a poster competition.

The Genome Center's Core Facilities also hosts workshops throughout the year, and links to the workshops can be found on the Workshops page and at the West Coast Metabolomics Center's Courses and Seminars page.
