The peanut genome has been sequenced…with help from the UC Davis Genome Center

The International Peanut Genome Initiative has reached a major milestone by sequencing the peanut genome (data available at peanutbase.org). Several members of Richard Michelmore's lab were involved in this work. For more details see the UC Davis Egghead science blog.
