From coast to coast, the UC Davis Genome Center tops the charts when searching Google for 'genome center'

Keith Bradnam, an Associate Project Scientist in the Korf Lab — disclaimer, I also manage this website — used this Google trick to change his search location in order to see how the UC Davis Genome Center fared when searching for 'genome center' across the country. When you tell Google that you are located in any particular state (e.g. set location to 'California'), we are the top result when searching for 'genome center' in all fifty states!

He then goes on to show that when you set your location to be the most populous city in each state, we are still the #1 result in the vast majority of states:

His full blog post on the subject goes on to explore what other Genome Centers are dominating the results in other cities, and concludes by revealing that the UC Davis Genome Center is also the top search result when you search for 'genome center' in most of the world's major cities.
