10 things you may not know about the new Genome Center website

GC web update The new website has been up and running for about six weeks now. Time for a quick update:
  1. We've had nearly 7,000 hits from 66 different countries
  2. In the contiguous 48 states, we've had visits from everywhere except North Dakota, New Hampshire, and Vermont
  3. The People page has been the most visited page
  4. We have posted 31 different news items
  5. About 10% of traffic has been from smart phones and tablets
  6. Details of many UC Davis biology/genomics talks and Genome Center events have been added, and people can subscribe to these two calendars
  7. C. Titus Brown's website is the 3rd largest source for referrals to our website (after links from other UC Davis sites and Twitter)
  8. A collection of GC resources — including high resolution logos and pictures — are available on the site
  9. The 2nd most popular keyword that people have used to find our site is simply 'genome center'
  10. The average time spent visiting the site is 2 minutes and 13 seconds (though 1% of visitors have spent more than 30 minutes on the site)
