Research Overview

The Genome Center consists of the largest number of biologists who compute at the University of California, Davis. This shared interest among the 43 Genome Center faculty facilitates collaborative research that builds on the strengths of the individual faculty members. These collaborations come in the form of joint research programs, centers, and institutes and range in topic from investigating health disparities to working to sequence and catalog all life on Earth.

The 43 Genome Center faculty members have basic research interests that can be classified into either computational or wet lab, and is further broken down into a focus on sequence, structure, activity, pathway, phenotype, or population.
