'Getting Bioinformatics Done with Galaxy': a free BGI @ UC Davis workshop presented by Bioinformatics Core

Bioinformatics Core (center aligned) As part of the BGI @ UC Davis workshop series, the Genome Center's Bioinformatics Core facility is holding a workshop that will teach attendees how to use the popular Galaxy web platform to perform some common bioinformatics tasks. Overview

Galaxy  is a user friendly, customizable bioinformatics analysis and workflow management tool increasingly used by researchers in the life sciences. It lowers the training burden for new lab members, increases productivity and reproducibility, and can be used locally and in the cloud. We will describe and demonstrate some typical analysis workflows within Galaxy, and discuss how it can enable your research. Please bring your laptop if you would like to follow along on the galaxy site!
